Striped in the Chi-City

Hello again :)

I know, autumn is here and the days are getting colder buuuut I have another summery outfit post from Chicago, the Chi-City.
It is not the best outfit for chilly days but I fell in love with this striped dress and I wanted to share it with you guys.
Stripes are always fashionable and it is just an easy way to style an outfit whether it is a striped scarf,  striped leggins or even a striped dress ;)
Even though the days are getting shorter, the temperature is getting lower and the rainy and foggy weather is getting more I hope you still like this post!
And I found my striped homie too ;)

Boston Tourist Diary

Hello :)

As I promised you in the latest post that the following one is all about good places to be in Boston - here it is :) Of course there is some fashion in this post too ;) I have been in Boston for 4 days and it is quite a good time to see aaaaaaaall the beauty of this city, lovely parks, nice skyscrapers, a skydeck view, little shops and great places for breakfast and dinner. I have to say that the weather was perfect at the beginning of September so I think that helps a lot to present a city like Boston in the proper light.
I start with our hotel, the Omni Parker House Hotel, which is in Downtown Boston and all I can say is: AWESOME. The personnel was so friendly and everything was clean and comfortable prepared. I think itis really important when you do a Sightseeing Trip and you are walking many many miles a day that you have a comfortable and quiet room for a relaxed sleep.

After a good sleep all you need is a good and nutritious breakfast. Generally in America it's hard to find nice breakfast spots because most of them just have "sandwiches to go" and "coffee to go" but we are Austrian people and we want to sit down and start our day with the most important meal :) So we found two really nice spots: the first one is inside the Qunicy Market, a huge market hall with all kinds of food. I discovered the "Bagel Factory" and it was just yummy :)

Quincy Market
4 S Market St
(zwischen Leo M Birmingham Pky und Centola St)
BostonMA 02135

The second lovely place to be for having breakfast was thinking cup. From different bagels, muffins or fruit salads this cafe had a nice atmosphere. Most of the people who go there are students so it was quite cheap too :)

Now I want to recommend you some nice addresses for having a yummy dinner :)

Emmet's Irish Pub&Restaurant (You have to know that the pubs in Boston are as traditional as in England or Ireland ;) )
6B Beacon St
(zwischen Tremont Pl und Somerset St)
BostonMA 02108

Joe's American Bar&Grill (really nice burgers and steaks)
181 Newbury Street
Boston, MA 02116

Whiskey's Steakhouse (awesome atmosphere!)
885 Boylston Street
Boston, MA 02116

And you have to definitely to the oldest pub in town, the "Bell in Hand". (Drinks are expensive!)

Harbour
Freedom Trail
View from the Monument
Little Italy in Boston
Sunset on the Skydeck
Boston Common
Skyscrapers
Boston by Night on the Skydeck

Boston Summer Day

Hello my lovelies :)

Yes, I am back! I have been thinking a lot about my blog the last weeks because I am not so pleased with the way I am handling this personal diary. But I decided to just go on with this thing and to really do more posts and be more consistent with it. I am planing with my boyfriend a new layout which I am totally into and then I take this business more serious I think, because if you can't identify yourself with your personal blog, you won't be happy to do it. So I have to change it and get back to the basic idea which is to post outfits because I love to do it!!!

Anyway, I am back from my American Trip and have some new styles for you to see. I have been on a 17- days journey with my boyfriend, visiting the cities Boston, Chicago, Niagara (Falls), Washington D.C. and of course the Big Apple, New Yok City. Some people asked me which city I liked the most but I just can't say it because every city has something special, something that makes you feel happy and gives you that kind of warming feeling that you are welcome there. So Boston was my first stop: compared to the other ones it is really lovely and calm! I fell in love with this city because it is very british and UKish if you know what I mean - little coffee shops, old architecture, the people are so friendly and nice and really really charming. It is definitely not as commercialized as New York City for example. So it has a reason why it is called "New England" ;)
As it was quite warm in Boston I have kind of a late summery post for you. I am wearing my new Neon Nikes combined to a maxi skirt and one of my favourite sweaters from H&M. I like this sporty vs. elegant look, it makes me feel comfy and beautiful too :)

You can follow me on Instagram too: white_canary! I am happy with every new follower :)

The next post will be all about good spots and places to be in Boston and of course more fashion ;)

Love, Mel. x
